MLM Prospecting Secrets Exposed!
It was not easy building my business when I first got started over 6 years ago. Let me share a quick story with you so you know how I went on to master the art of mlm prospecting. I did what most people did when I first got started in my business. I listened to my upline who told me to make a list of family and friends. Then when I was done facing rejection from my family, my upline told me to buy home biz opp leads from lead companies online. Now I did have a Sales background so I wasn’t to concerned about making cold calls. I figured I would recruit tons of people at first. Man was I Wrong!
I faced rejection on a massive scale cold calling that JUNK list of leads. I learned over time that I was doing it all wrong. So I got on a conference call one night for the company I was with at the time and some guy was talking about cold calling and prospecting. The mindset needed and skill sets. His name was Jeffrey Combs. Some of you may have heard of him. Anyway, I loved this guy and what he was talking about. So i bought most of his training courses. I went through all of them and started to apply what I learned. The results were awesome. I went on to recruit over 155 new reps onto my team.
What didn’t change was the fact that I still faced rejection cold calling and spent crazy amounts of time on the phone prospecting and wasted thousands of dollars. I also noticed that no one on my team was Duplicating my results. So basically I became a glorified sales man and getting paid only off my own results. No Duplication what so ever ): So I took to the Internet to figure out how I can make my business work. I won’t get into how I was able to do a 360 and how my business took off in this post. So back to our topic of mlm prospecting. Now let me be clear. Prospecting is something that you will have to do all the time in your business. Whether you’re in an mlm business, affiliate business or promoting any product online. Why? Cause we are in the people business. And relationships with people is part of it. And you will have to learn how to Identify a suspect from a good prospect. And not waste your time. In fact understanding the prospecting psychology of people will help you figure out the people who are serious when it come’s to your personal team as well as talking with potential partners for your business.
