7 Tips to increase your sales in December
In the month of December many marketers believe they must back off their social media marketing efforts due to the holidays.
They say things like, “people are distracted in December so I’ll hold off until after the holidays” or “people don’t have money for business once they buy all their presents”.
If this sounds like you, nothing could be further from the truth! That way of thinking shows a failure to understand the way people think and the social media and online sales process.
Take my advice and don’t make that mistake!
In years past TV ad budgets were increased during the holidays. But in today’s world social media usage reaches new highs during this time and it is crucial that you understand the psychology behind it.
As people feel the stress of overextending their credit cards they seek ways to add income for their families.
As a small business owner you can attract more clients and customers that will buy now.
Here are my 7 tips to increase your sales in December:
‘1. Post regularly: If the number of people logging on increases be sure you are logging on more as well. Concentrate your posts on engagement.
‘2. Include holiday cheer: Share recipes of your favorite holiday dish, cookies, and drinks. Offer DIY tips your customers can use. Ask fun holiday trivia questions. Engagement, engagement, engagement! (Click on the image for cookie recipes)
‘3. Recommend some holiday activities to your followers: Suggest your favorite movie. Ask them what is their favorite movie. Most cities offer holiday festivals. Suggest a few for your location and the surrounding area.

‘4. Do a ‘year end’ or 12 Days of Christmas promotion: Everyone loves a sale. It doesn’t matter what you are selling, sales go up with discounted offers.
‘5. Increase your quote graphics: An easy way to do this is to repurpose and reuse photos you’ve used during the year. Add more holiday photos. Post 2-3 more quote graphics than you would normally and be sure to ask for feedback (on Instagram tell them to double tap if they agree; on Facebook tell them to leave a comment).
‘7. Be the ‘It’ page to turn to: By adding these simple steps to your marketing through January 2nd you will see more people interacting, engaging, and joining you.
By using these 7 tips to increase your sales in December you will not only boost your revenue but you will have a blast at the same time!
