One of the most common questions people ask their sponsors all the time is where they can get more leads or where to purchase MLM leads. If you own an MLM business you know that leads are the lifeblood of any business, but to purchase MLM leads?!?!
My answer: Don’t Purchase MLM Leads…Are You Crazy?!?!
There are several reasons why you shouldn’t purchase MLM leads. Probably the biggest reason being the quality of those leads. No matter where you purchase MLM leads from, there is no way of knowing if they are actually worth the money. Leads can be generated from a variety of methods, both online and offline, and there is no way of knowing how targeted your leads will be. A small percentage of these people may be looking for a home business, but how do you know that they will be there for the long haul? How do you know that they are a good fit for your business and won’t quit at the first obstacle they come across?
The answer is…you can’t.
You want quality over quantity when it comes to MLM leads. You will be far better off having just 5 hardworking, dilligent people in your downline, rather than 30 people who are lazy whiners and blame you for their failure. My motto is work smarter not harder.
Another reason to not purchase MLM leads is that you want to qualified people seeing your contact information. You don’t want to be associated with spam. If you go out and purchase a few hundred or thousands of MLM leads, this could easily happen. Why harass people that don’t want to even hear your message?
You want to find a targeted group of people. You only want their their contact information, assuming they want you to have it by giving it to you. This method makes the conversation much easier and less intimidating. You can talk to people who will be more open and willing to hear about the information about what you do and what you have to offer them.
Most leads come from filling out an optin form where they fill in their contact information. Usually ask for their name, email address, and phone number. There’s no need for anything more than that since you need to have something to talk about when you call them right? Small talk is a great icebreaker to build rapport.
You want to get in front as many people as possible in order to grow a massive check in your business, but you want to be able to provide a solution via your product to your lead’s problem. Every client will have a different need and in order to get them to join you in business, you have to address their need for them.
Although when you purchase MLM leads, it’s an easy method to get you started and give you people to talk to, but in the long run you’re just doing yourself a disservice and wasting your time and money. That’s why in my opinion that anyone who wants to be successful in network marketing should not purchase MLM leads, but generate them themselves.
