Recently we shot a video for YouTube about daily habits in the kung fu training online niche. After uploading the video I realized the message that my teacher was talking about can actually apply to everyone.
There is no denying that we are product of what we do daily. Success and failure are both determined by our daily habits. Take smoking cigarettes for example, that is something that some people do a dozen or times a day. That habit is definitely killing them slowly.
The crazy part is you may have a daily habit right now that is preventing you from having a massive breakthrough in your internet network marketing business. The scary part is you might not even be aware that it exist. The insane thing about daily habits is often times you don’t realize that it’s causing issues in your life.
Everything from drinking coffee everyday to the toothpaste you use could be having a negative impact on your life.
Before You Can Fix Your Daily habits You Have To Be Aware You Have Them
What I suggest you do is start documenting everything from what you are eating to what you are thinking for a week. Literally do this every waking hour of your week. This is the only way to see what you are thinking and what you are doing consistently. By doing this you can see what it is you are actually repeating.
For example: The first thing you think of when you wake up in the morning is that you are broke. For the next 7 days that may be the first thing you actually think about when you wake up. I find it interesting that broke people constantly are telling themselves they are broke.
That sounds like a bad daily habit doesn’t it?
The first thing you want to do is start filtering out negative thought patterns. It’s your thoughts that are shaping the outcome of your life. When it comes to building a business on the internet what daily actions are you taking? Are you spending 20 minutes a day playing around on facebook, youtube, twitter…
20×5 = 100 minutes a week spent on non income producing activities. Now I know some of you are saying, wait a minute Larry. I market on Facebook. To that my response is I get it, you spend time on facebook to connect with prospects. But if you’re anything like me you start off doing that next thing you know your reading about how 22 people got beheaded the other day. Or you’re laughing because you just watched a hilarious video.
My point is simply: People are always complaining about not having enough time to “market” their business when in reality they are squandering hours a week goofing off not being remotely productive.
The good news is all of these things are daily habits you created. Why do I say this is good news? Because it is you that created them and since you created them you can also break them. Another words you don’t have to be a slave to your habits, you can create new habits that replace your bad habits.
The Video That Inspired This Post On Daily Habits
In this video my Sifu of 20 years talks about daily habits that can hold back your kung fu training progress. From a first hand experience I can say that even if you are practicing good habits, if you are also practicing bad habits at the same time you could be running into problems.
There is a solution to this problem that Sifu talks about in the video. Take your bad habit, in order to get rid of it you need to replace it with a good habit 10 times and then 1 more time to make sure the bad habit is gone.
So this means if you wake up 10 days in row thinking your broke, you are going to have to spend the next 10 days being excited that your rich and then add another day to make sure you changed your way of thinking…
However let’s look at smoking cigarettes – Let’s say you smoke just 10 cigs a day. That means for every cigarette you have you need to do something else 10 times multiple that 10 cigs a day and you are looking at having to do something 100 times a day to help beat a 10 day a cigarette habit..
Make sense? Maybe what I just said doesn’t make sense. It makes sense in my own head but maybe I didn’t word it correctly. Do yourself a favor and watch the video and see how you can apply what he is teaching to your daily habits…
